Summer!

Here are some pictures of Askar. As you can see he likes driving his little cars. He is also OK with taking a bath. I think he realizes now it can be fun and it's better than being sprayed down as he put his hands against the wall like they did in the orphanage. In the last picture below, he is concentrating on his new blocks and Chloe is probably thinking about stealing one and chewing it up.











He went in the pool for the first time today. Over the holiday weekend, he went to parties and saw fireworks (from afar.) We even went to Block Island!! He liked listening to the band and watching the planes, the people and the seagulls. He stayed in his stroller on the beach most of the day because he didn't want to be on the sand, go in the water or on the beachchairs. He was totally content with looking at all the people, planes, seagulls, eating, playing and sleeping in the stroller. The kids were playing with him and he was getting a lot of attention from everyone. He was happy. He is trying to learn new things everyday. He is OK with taking a bath now and thinks it kind of fun. He still cries a bit at bedtime and sometimes with changing but for the most part he is fine. He sleeps through the night also.

John and I are back to work now and Askar is staying at my mothers and/or other relative's houses when my mother is golfing. Today he surprised me and said "vitamin". He also pointed at his leg and said "arm?" He is just so funny in a lot of ways, especially his facial expressions and his actions.
