One More Day

Tomorrow night we'll be leaving to go back to Ust-Kamenogorsk. We will fly to Germany then to Almaty then to Ust. We are all excited to go back and see Askar ("ah-scah") Of course, we will bring peanut butter crackers and Cheerios. Haley is bringing her legos to show him too. We have to bring clothes for him because he has to leave his clothes at the orphanage (we won't disagree with them on that rule!) We are packing much lighter this time so we don't get charged a $100 each way for overweight luggage. We're still a little worried about taking him out of the only home he has ever known and into the big world. I'm sure everything will be very scarey for him. We will try to keep him from having to worry about fending for himself and let us take care of it now so he can just be a toddler. We also can't wait to get him to a doctor. I already made the appointment for when he gets back. Our dogs are going back to the kennel again this afternoon because they can't be dropped off tomorrow. I feel bad that they have to go back there.

5 more days until we leave again :)

I can't believe we are going back to the other side of the world again in 5 days. We have forgotten about the loooong plane ride and we're ready to go back and get our BABY BOY! We cannot wait to see him. He is going to be SO surprised to see us. He's probably getting back to his structured days maybe even thinking that we may not come back then BANG we're back!...the people that don't know my language but love me, feed me and play with me are back! We also wonder how long we will have to wait before we can take him out of the orphanage and to the apartment. We feel bad/guilty about taking him out of the only home he has ever known. Actually. I feel like we're ripping him out of the only home he has ever known and bringing him into a crazy, overwhelming world. We will do our best to make this an easy transition. Michael Askar's room is pretty much done at home except we have to bring back the chest from his bedroom set because there was a huge crack on the top of it when we opened the box. The picture above is of the orphanage. Askar is in one of the many rooms filled with children. He's on the third floor.
